¡¡¡Sàlvia, encargada de hacer publicaciones en los blogs de la biblioteca de Cocentaina (Alicante, España) ha tenido el detalle de compartir unas de mis ilustraciones en un par de sus revistas digitales!!! Me siento muy alagada de poder estar al lado de ilustradores y escritores tan talentosos haciendo parte de proyectos tan importantes para la promoción de lectura en los niños. Aquí les comparto los links.

Sàlvia, in charge of creating the publications for the Cocentaina Library (Alicante, Spain), has shared some of my illustrations in a couple of their digital magazines!!! Siluetas de los personajes ~ Character's silhouettes

Estos son los personajes dibujados en grupo para estudiar las formas, de tal manera que pudiéramos identificar algo de sus personalidades y estructuras viendo las siluetas.

These are the characters drawn together to study their shapes, so we could identify elements of their personalities and structures just by looking at their silhouettes.

Les presento a Raul ~ This is Raul

Este es otro de los personajes para Canto a una Rosa. Como pueden darse cuenta, habían varias opciones al comienzo, así que no estaba segura de qué facciones darle. Buscaba a alguien noble, sensible, fuerte y protector al mismo tiempo.

This is another character designed for Ode to a Rose. As you can see, there were many options at the beginning, and I was unsure about what specific parts of the face to accentuate. I was looking for someone honest, sensitive, strong and protective at the same time.

Les presento a Paloma ~ This is Paloma

He estado trabajando para un proyecto animado con Catalina Franco, diseñando personajes, utensilios y fondos. La animación colombiana se llama Canto a una Rosa, y está inspirada en un cuento de Oscar Wilde. ¡Esta experiencia ha sido fascinante y he aprendido muchísimo! Estoy muy agradecida por la oportunidad.
Esta es Paloma, uno de los personajes. Me costó trabajo dibujarla feliz o dulce con sus ojos escurridos... Siempre me quedaba algo melancólica. Pero creo que logré hacerla ver cálida y generosa al final :)

I've been working for an animated project with Catalina Franco, designing characters, props and backgrounds. The Colombian animation is titled Ode to a Rose and was inspired in a tale by Oscar Wilde. This experience has been fascinating and I've learnt so much! I'm really grateful for the opportunity.
This is Paloma, one of the characters. I found it difficult to draw her happy or sweet with her droopy eyes... she always looked kind of melancholic. But I think I was able to make her look warm and generous at the end :)

"Copetones" en progreso ~ "Birds" on progress

Currently working on a small animation. Right now I'm colouring in all those drawings that I've scanned before. I think I'll be using cell animation, a bit of flash and after effects for the compositing and camera movement. Will be telling you more about the concept later!

Actualmente estoy trabajando en una mini-animación. En este momento estoy coloreando todos esos dibujos que había escaneado antes. Creo que voy a usar animación tradicional, un poco de flash y de after effects para la composición y movimientos de cámara. Les estaré compartiendo más acerca del concepto próximamente!
